I think both articles correlate with the topics we discussed today such as knitting being used as A form of protesting against the British as well as being viewed as A feminine hobby. The second article talks about knitting as not being A hobby at all but ht designated job for women that was not as important because it can be "easily stopped and picked up where it was left off." I also found it interesting that the second article described women knitting as patriotic and referencing the fact that the word patriotic (patriot)was mostly used for men. I find it very interesting that rather than the word being used for men, today we use the word loosely for the same reason. This article really made me think of most people who are deemed as patriots are referred to by the term politically and it is used to establish power without having any revelance.
