The concept of a Revolutionary Knitting Circle is not something I have heard of before. Activism is often thought of as marches, sit-ins, and writing to politicians, but revolutionary knitting circles take on a new pespective on activism. Essentially, groups get together to bring communities together through teaching skills and providing resources to give back to the community. I instantly thought about the concept of defunding the police when I read the Grant Neufeld article specifcally. Defunding the police essentially calls for more resources to be sent out to communities to decrease crime. I think starting a Revolutionary Knitting Circle in a community could help with this as well. It is also something that can bring different communities together. When two neighboring communities are involved in these knitting circles, people can be brought together.
I also really enjoyed the Stitch for Senate article. Calling attention to a cause by sending senators knit helmet liners is a cool way to get people discussing the war as well as calling attention to senators. When people knit together and discuss as cause, they learn more and are able to form more opinions about the cause they support.
