I think one reason why Craftivism is so successful can be seen in the article when the chair of the board of one of the companies said it was the most powerful campaign they had seen. Craft takes time and you have to give something that you have created in the act. I had not really recognized that before. Perhaps this is part of what makes Craftivism work. Additionally, pictures from protest tend to look the same. However, something that is crafted at a protest would look out of place and I think that this would set it apart and help to spread it on social media and gain attention.
