I was wondering about some concrete examples of how crafting has changed policy recently. We’ve read a lot about the history behind craftivism and how it is actually a very old tradition, buet there hasn’t been much about really practical craftivism today. The last article showed some really interesting examples of this. The one tat really caught my attention was the one done with M&M’s fair wages. This would have taken so much time and team effort from the people who wanted fair wages. While this isn’t what I would think would change the mind of the company, someone from the board said that this was one of the “most powerful campaigns.” They successfully got the higher wages. What would this look like with current issues today? Would this be more impactful and powerful than the traditional kind of activism we think of today? What makes this so much more impactful than the traditional understanding of activism?
