I found the idea of "radical" knitters very interesting. The name can seem a little confusing with the idea that knitting is a peaceful way to protest, but they in fact are not radical in they way they use the yarn. The women of this group are radical in the way that they use their knitting to express their feelings on a topic. They gain some people's interest or curiosity by knitting something beautiful and before the person knows it, they are in a conversation about current events. It is a good way to get people interested in their cause.
