In the L.A. Times article, I found it interesting that Yarn Bombing L.A. had a Tumblr page that allowed people to post ideas that they thought were important to address. It seems like they really want everyone to get involved and to be able to voice their opinions.

The CAFAM Granny Squared project really caught my attention. The fact that Yarn Bombing L.A. yarn-bombed the entire front of a museum and involved 49 states and 25 countries was amazing.

In the Knitting For Black Liberation article, I Sewell said, "because police will come after you, no matter how organized... knitting offers a little relaxation and relief. It shows we can come together in other ways too, in places that feel a little safer." I think this is a creative, impactful, and personal way to protest for the Black Lives Matter movement.

I never thought about the fact that knitting has always been viewed as a white woman's activity. So to use it to protest for the Black Lives Matter movement, it would be extremely impactful.

I didn't like Karen Templer referred to her trip to India as "a seat on the flight to Mars." I do like, however, that she changed her ways and continued to promote people of color for their work. It almost feels like she did that because she felt as if she had to because she realized she messed up. I never thought about there being racism in the "fiber world," but this has really opened my eyes.
