The Urban Letters project would be what stood out to me the most. Simply because, it shows that activism does not only have to take place within a group of people or that only the ideas of that specific group will be heard. This project is open to the community, whereas everyone’s ideas are shared and brought to life. In comparison of the Yarn Mission and the Urban Letters project, the Yarn Mission lacked the support of the community that the Urban Letters project had. The Yarn Mission mainly consisted of black women and they would meet publicly in order to encourage others to join. As mentioned before in past discussions, it is monumental how knitting for a cause goes a long way and many tend to underestimate that. I believe that was far more emphasized in the Yarn Mission article. The members would only be acknowledged because they would knit in public places which was not common, so many were intrigued.
