Something I found interesting, after reading the articles, was that they knit and crochet for Black Lives Matter. As being a fellow African American male myself, this really hit home. I liked how after the Ferguson incident, people found another way to protest to where they could still be heard and their point can still get across. Sometimes I also feel as if people are more willing to sit down and listen to what you have to say if you are doing activities like knitting or crocheting for a cause such as the Ferguson incident. On the other hand, I can see where the other articles were stating that knitting for black Liberation was too passive. Being that for a cause like black liberation, is knitting really gonna get our point across to people who aren't willing to understand?
