The idea of the temperature scarves seemed sort of silly to me until they explained the bit about how they’re used for representing the temperature of each day. This concept is downright cool; it serves as both an almost historical account of the weather and also a way to show that climate change is in fact real (blows my mind that people think it isn’t). These blankets and their meaning will be a really useful reminder for future generations about how our climate is now regardless of how it all turns out. These people literally knit the passage of time based on what the outside felt like. Not only that, but they are also very pretty to look at.
