Since taking this course, I’ve learned that knitting is being used to champion many causes. The article about “The Raging Grannies” was interesting. I am assuming that they sit around and knit, while composing snazzy protest songs. If I were driving by their protest site, the site of golden-age women will grab my attention and (if I can remember once I arrive to my next destination) I may do some research on the cause they are protesting. The knitting circles that create the scarves about global warming was my favorite article. I believe the pieces they create are creating invaluable historical artifacts. These are tapestries that can be framed and placed on display in museums across the globe.
