I think that the temperature scarves were a very cool visual representation of the climate change issue we face. I think it was also a very creative way of showing the same data in a much different manner. We see these numbers all the time, and it is very easy to feel discouraged about the statistics of our climate. However, if I saw this, I would probably just think it was a cute scarf and nothing more. Plus, this could really only be done in colder states because some places you would rarely wear it. I do think that this wold help get people more involved, and it is a creative way to continue this conversation.  

The “raging grannies” was also a very creative approach to the oil companies. I thought this was an interesting way to use the stereotype of knitting as an advantage to accomplish political change. Yes, it is sweet grandmas knitting, but it is done with purpose and for political change instead of just being a way to pass the time.
