I found what the author had to say about the word craft being removed from museums and colleges to be very interesting. The fact that the term craft was dropped from these institutions in the early 2000's makes it all the more intriguing. What I have been taught about Aids and heard growing up would largely focus mainly on the 80's and somewhat the 90's. Nevertheless, it was something that by the 2000's was no longer affecting people in large numbers as it once had, at least not in America. Yet the term craft being associated with Aids continued into the 2000's. It made me question if craftivism may be disregarded on a large scale and thus make the grassroots methods more affective or not.
