1. Entrepreneurial thinking has guided the advancements of our society as time has gone on. There are various factors that have impacted entrepreneurial thinking throughout history. One factor includes the type of economic system that is present. For individuals living in a democratic and capitalist economic system, they are encouraged to have entrepreneurial thinking; economic systems such as communism and socialism disincentivize this entrepreneurial spirit. Other factors such as poverty/subsistence, manual labor, and public health and safety can be grouped with economic systems as areas that impact entrepreneurship.
2. Two of the biggest factors that impact my own entrepreneurial pursuits are my education and location. Since I am a student at Birmingham-Southern, I have had the opportunity to receive a liberal arts education in a Southeastern metropolitan area. My background and knowledge provides me with different entrepreneurial opportunities than others. I also think that debt and historical context are big impacts for me. The current situation of my life is definitely influencing my entrepreneurial thinking each and every day.
