1. Individual factors that have influenced entrepreneurship throughout history are geographical location and personal wealth. A person's geographical location has a large impact on their entrepreneurial endeavors. For instance, a person who lives in the mountains would not want to start a fishing company. They would be more likely to start a mine, logging company, or enter the fur trade as these resources are plentiful. Personal wealth affects entrepreneurship because it gives someone the means to embark on whatever endeavor they choose. Societal factors that can affect entrepreneurship are things like economic freedom and war. Economic freedom makes it easier for an entrepreneur to start whatever venture they decide to pursue. War limits entrepreneurship in areas that do not pertain to survival and basic needs. For example, people aren't going to worry about buying a tv or iPhone when there are bombs going off all around them.
2. On an individual level, I am blessed to have a family full of entrepreneurs that would be very helpful in any entrepreneurial endeavor I choose to pursue. This would give me access to things like experienced advice and even startup capital. On the societal level, I live in a country in which it is relatively easy to start a company. At least for now, taxation is not too bad and there is not much regulation on businesses. This would be very different if I lived in a place like North Korea where the government has total control.
