1) As a Sophomore, I was in the class Foundations of Business Thought. One of the final projects in that class was to come up with a business idea and then give a pitch to the class for it. Another time that I was encouraged to think entrepreneurially was in Principles of Management, my first semester of Junior year. My professor, nearly every day proposed scenarios that managers/ entrepreneurs in different stages could face, and we discussed them.
2) If an Entrepreneur is only evaluated at one phase of the entrepreneurial process, one issue could be a misrepresentation of the entrepreneur as a whole. They can be great at the beginning and nothing else, unfortunately, some could put too much faith into that entrepreneur in a long-term decision. Another issue that can come from a single-phase evaluation is that it can hurt the entrepreneurs' ability to raise capital in the early investing phase.
3) As a junior business marketing major, over the next 5 years, I will face a few stages in my career. The first is to acquire an internship. Second, I will have to finish out my college career. Third, get an entry-level job at a marketing agency. The fourth phase would be to take the skills I acquired from working the job to creating my own marketing agency.
Personality Traits and Competencies: 1) Open-Mindedness, for the ability to learn new things 2) Strong work ethic, to gain more experience on the job 3) Strong Networking Skills, connections for when I break away from my job.
