Identify competitors in the market (large and small); try to cover everything

Premade Meals: Katie’s Plates, Nourish Foods, Fresh n Lean, Caf

Meal Prep: Hello Fresh

Vending Machines: Healthy You, Fresh Healthy

Food delivery services: DoorDash, Waitr, GrubHub, Uber Eats

Identify how you believe you can differentiate your solution from the market (get specific)

We will specifically target college students and provide healthy, fresh food at a convenience and low cost

Have partnerships with local grocery stores and restaurants to reuse their unwanted produce.

-supermarkets throw out most of their produce after one day

-eliminate food waste by giving unpurchased food from our vending machines to a local homeless shelter

Also try and give the unwanted food that homeless shelters do not want back to the farmers to try and recycle it to refertalize the soil.

What specific problem within this idea are you going to focus on (must be narrower than early exploration problem statements)?
To truly help college students eat healthy at an affordable cost. Obesity is at an all time high.  Also to try and eliminate food waste that can be used to feed hungry people on the streets.
Is your proposed solution a product, a service, or both? Do you need all of them to differentiate or should you only focus on one?

Both - providing products while providing a service of giving unsold inventory to homeless shelters. We need to do both of these things to help our company stand out from others.

What are the specific components of your potential solutions that uniquely solve this problem?

Affordable cost, Convenience for pre-packaged food, Encourage a healthy lifestyle

What specific questions does this analysis raise for you in terms of evaluating the viability of your idea?

Shelf life of food, Conditions for placing the vending machines on campuses, Regulations and guidelines for getting food from stores and restaurants, prices of refrigerated vending machines, how much do we price our products, how do we package them properly and attractively enough for people to buy them
