I think for me the biggest thing to point out about the images in today’s reading is that they were created by people who had never been to Giana. These printmakers used Raleigh’s writings to create these images and I think that this was harmful for the time because this was all readers had to go off for visuals and created biases based off art that isn’t 100% accurate. Unlike today when we can see a photo that is live and taken in the moment, these images were made up to give an image to a story written by a man who most likely didn’t give a completely honest account of his visit.
