I found this very fascinating, seeing the way that they used mice to convey the moral of the story. Initially I asked the question of why they would choose to use mice, and as I read on it made more sense. I found the use of a mouse to convey the message of the story very smart, seeing the wide range of scenarios they could be put in. Another thing that stood out to me during this reading was the nod to epicureanism. This story emphasizes the idea that living a simple life is good and ideal, much like how epicureans emphasize the same thing, and I found it interesting the way they approached enforcing this idea.
