jquery allows its users to basically code as little as possible and yet still retain the functionality of well-written code. The pre-written script functions are also a huge time-saver! Using it, and especially the mobile-focused version, will definitely help me in the future if I decide/need to create a mobile app or simply become more mobile friendly as I think that's what I struggle with the most when creating and designing (essentially figuring out how to creatively translate a desktop site into a mobile one).
