One page synopsis
Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I didn't realize some students had responded to their own posts with updated synopses.
Here are my notes:
You have added Margo in Act 2, which is great. But now what is PP1? Perhaps the end of Act 1 should have something to do with June trying to find a life outside of Liv. PP1 could be something like Liv deciding to move in with Luke. Then Act 2 introduces Margo.
Be sure to somehow tie in Margo’s leaving with Luke. For example, Margo was starting to get bad vibes, but June believes Margo heard Luke talking bad about her. CAUSE AND EFFECT.
The MP could be the decision to stalk Luke and eventually kill him at the end of Act 2.
PP2 is either Luke’s death, or June and Liv becoming intimate.
Act 3 – along with what you write in this 1-page, also include some investigation into Luke’s death. June’s parents might be involved. And Liv and Luke’s parents. Maybe even Margo reenters June’s life (trying to prove her theory about June). This pressure, along with Liv’s lack of love for June, causes June to plan the kidnapping/murder.
I still feel like the resolution is missing something. Inserting the parents into the story this late in Act 3 does not feel right. If they exist at all in the story, they should be set up earlier. But you can think about it and come up with something in a later draft
