Because of the power balance in the family, patriarchy happens a lot. The person who thinks he or she has much more authority than the others might try to have control of the family. In the case of men who got partner violence, the other partner has more power. Alcohol helps partner violence since it makes people more aggressive, and it enhances their emotions. I think that idea is based on the idea of patriarchy. To prevent partner violence or domestic violence, we have to change our minds that like which has more power or not. In the first place, if we did not have that mind, alcohol would not be the problem.
