What I found interesting was how they teach students that want to go into this particular field of teaching. I think we need more of this. As teachers, we should understand every aspect of what we are expected to see especially if we teach in public, private, or a school for the deaf and blind where she is. I think it brings meaning to the need to know what we do with it as teachers. I believe in a great school environment. She talked about how those students who are expected to stay till they are 21 are put on track to graduate with their class. That's amazing to see that pushed because it allows them to see that they are not alone, and they can do anything they set their mind to. I love how she talks about she is always learning everywhere she goes. I love that because that's the mindset we need in our everyday life we learn new things every day. She talked about some really good things in the interview, and it taught me a few things as well to have once I start teaching later on.

I agree! The effort and commitment of these students and teachers are unmatched! They work so hard to help provide life skills to students with disabilities. I think sometimes people who aren't visually impaired or disabled really think about all the hard work that goes into learning these functions throughout life that comes so easily to others. And I believe this comes back to the point of bias that we talked about last week. I applaud these teachers and all their work.
