I wake up to the alarm sound at 8:00AM. Getting out of bed I
do my usual morning routine, brush, quick shower, breakfast
ect. I hear the school bus ring and roll up near my front
door steps, I begin rushing towards the sound exiting my
front door and entering the yellow school bus. Unrecognizing
and ignoring the bus driver, I head for the back of the
sheet. No other students were on the bus. The bus circled
around different houses not picking up any students. We
finally arrived at the school and I left the bus. Heading to
my 9th grade first period classroom around the corner I
noticed not a single person in the hallways. As I entered
the room I did not find a single classmate or teacher in the
room. Ignoring the intuition of where everyone was, I picked
up the worksheet on the table and began working on the
assignment. The bell rang and it was the second period, upon
entering the room again no one was in sight. Since the
second period was art I just drew a couple pictures of
objects around me, the school, the bus, the classroom, the
hallways. By the time I knew it the bell had rung I was off
the third period. Walking off campus to the home-ec building
I still didn't run into anyone. Walking into an empty
building I spent my time cooking whatever was in the fridge,
I saw some eggs, milk, veggies, and cookies on the counter.
I took a skillet and made two omelets, poured me a cup of
milk and cookies and tossed the omelets and cookies onto a
plate from the top drawer. I ate what was on the plate and
ate almost every crumb. While drinking my glass of milk the
fourth bell rang, and I exited the building. Walking back to
campus I started to get curious where everyone was. Walking
into my history class I saw a projector with a film inside
already hooked up to the wall. Sitting in the middle of the
seat with no one beside me, it played the movie. I can feel
myself dizzying away from reality watching the boring
documentary about history, almost existing reality. The bell
rang and it was lunch time. Walking into the cafeteria I
noticed an entire row of chairs standing on top of the
tables. Taking a chair out I noticed around the corner a
lunch lady, I was surprised to see someone in school.
wandering around the empty chairs, I approach the woman and
she says “Wake Up!””WAKE UP!” I woke up from the dramatic exit scared but happy it was
over as the alarm clock rings again, it's 8:00AM.
