The withdrawal effects of the CN5 depressants were surprising. I knew that agitation could occur, but I did not know they could be life threatening like seizures.

I like how yall highlighted the different impacts drug addiction can have on a person. I think it's important to highlight how this impacts mental abuse and the mental health of people around people suffering from drug addiction.

I really like how y'all went through the different types of drugs, and how each one effects us. I never realized that CNS depressants could cause seizures, and how many effects there are, especially with how popular some of the depressants are.

I really like how y'all formatted this presentation, it was easy to follow, but still full of interesting information! I have always found the withdrawal effects of the different types of drugs interesting because since each class of drug presents a different type of "high", it causes the body to function differently. For example, seizures are a common withdrawal symptom of depressants because the body is so used to having an excess amount of GABA and other neurotransmitters that inhibit neuron firing, that it begins to produce more excitatory neurotransmitters, so when someone tries to come off depressants without medical intervention, the body's chemical levels are thrown off, resulting in seizures, etc. All this to say, the presentation was very clear and concise, and I really enjoyed it!

The restaurant industry struggles with stimulant addiction/reliance and it has only gotten worse since the worker shortage post quarantine. My coworkers and I have been overworked and I have experienced the reliance of stimulants to simply keep my friends awake and functioning. I have heard stories of cocaine addiction and how high doses of caffeine helped them through withdrawals. Drug addiction is a big problem in America in a various amount of ways everywhere you look.

I really liked how you talked about the effects of all the different types of drugs. I also found it interesting that coffee is a stimulant, I had never thought about that before.

It is amazing that a coffee addiction is actually a real thing.

I really enjoyed the group’s presentation! It’s so easy to only think of major drugs that we were warned against using as children like cocaine, medication, etc. It’s great that you all reminded us of the impacts that lesser recognized drugs (coffee, etc.) can have on us physically.

This was a very interesting topic, and a wonderful reminder to think about how everyday drugs impact our lives as well!! When drinking easy things like coffee, and sodas with caffeine you're normal;y not focused on the drug facts, but we focus more on pharmaceutical or illegal drug types! Very cool project!
