-The Era of Tan was when African American people were stripped of their African American culture as actors. These characters who looked African descent on the outside were expressing only white cultural conten with their actions.
-Eddie Murphy: His comedy lacked the bite and anger like Pryor’s acting. But Murphy explained that he didn't learn this about these matters hanging in the streets. Murphy explains he was never a fighter. Racial comments were laughable,and it was just shrugged off. There was neither defense or offense to neutralize the situation. The showing that one was not bothered with racism.
-The Color Purple: It was a movie that received mixed reviews of being well executed but also a cryable and laughable movie. But yet the movie was bad, but was saved by the actors. There was also a bad depiction of the African American man but yet the film was written by an African American woman.
-A Soldiers Story: One of the few films to offer strong authentic african american characters. The story was in the mind of an African American soldier. The problem is that few films had actually executed this task.
