Some critics believe that Tyler Perry’s depiction of black people in his films are harmful to the black community. Many critics believe that Perry exploited black stereotypes and one of his critics was Spike Lee. Mr. Lee believes that Madea is a caricature of Black women and he thought that it was a cheap, over-the-top impersonation that Tyler has monetized with a lot of success.
