In Sunsets by John Greene, Green relates to the sun as "godlike." He gave this chapter a 5-star review because he disagrees with the fact that nothing can be perfect.  He describes how the beauty around us can be somewhat ignored because of the horrors that underly the world. He talks about the sun too and how it can be overlooked because you cannot look at it directly. It is the one source of all power, and you cannot look at it with a straight eye. He talks about how Christians refer to God as light, but the idea is similar. We cannot see God directly. I think Green writes about this topic because in life we overlook some of the most beautiful things in the world. He talks about how sunsets "render his thoughts." It is much more complex than what we make it out to be. I think he relates sunsets to a life of significance when he talks about how you cannot see the beauty in things unless you make yourself vulnerable to it. That's what sometimes we have to do in order to understand things in our life. Even if they seem simple, they probably are not. It can be scary to look at the world sometimes because of how small in reality we are to it. Sometimes we have to look at things straight on. I think this is my favorite chapter in the book. I like how he makes the correlation between light and God. I related to a lot of his ideas as well. I would give the chapter a 4-star review.

Good write-up, although it is only 269 words. The assignment requires at least 300 words. Perhaps you can elaborate on your own experience with sunsets and why you gave them 4 stars (instead of 5 or 3).
