Love and Basketball is an amazing movie, it shows problems that can occur in black lives outside of low profit neighborhoods and poverty. in love and basketball it showed a lot of problems that people deal with such as love life , careers, and financial struggles such as college and etc. in the movie love and basketball one of the main characters father was in the NBA and had an affair on his wife , the movie showed even though that family was financially successful other things broke them up and created struggle within their lives. around the time the movie was made it was common for good athletes to drop out of school to play professional ball with no back up plan, of course if an injury or something crazy happens they basically lose everything. this movie displayed a good example by showing that Zeke( Ques father) make that mistake when he was younger and the whole movie is basically him trying to make Que understand that he needs more than basketball because things can happen and later in the movie it does. during this injury is when most of the movie start to fall together and fall in place. The main characters at the beginning of the movie date as kids,they have a few problems as they grow up and they cut things off. but as the movie goes on different things happen and they start to realize how much they actually mean to each other and at the end of the movie she was a Basketball wife with a child of his. i just feel like this movie was a great example of its not how you start its about how you finish. the movie taught me that everything is not going to happen when you want it to but it will happen when its supposed to, this movie showed different forms of black love and appreciation and i love it.
