In this chapter, Green begins with a description of the basic principles of the game Mario Kart. in the game you choose from one of several characters in the Mario universe and race other characters in go karts with the goal being to be in first place at the end of the race. Throughout the race you are given chances at power-ups that give you an edge against the other players. These power-ups are given based on what place in the race you are in at the time of collection, with people in last place getting the more useful items and the one in first getting the less useful ones. Green compares this concept as being the exact opposite of the real world, with more successful people getting greater benefits to allow for them to get further ahead. He uses this analogy to explain how life in modern America favors the already rich and how much of a failure this is. It's not fair to the people struggling to make do with all of the pressures and none of the power-ups. Green believes, in a way, that life should be structured where everyone has a fair shot no matter their circumstances. Green gives 4 stars, I give Mario Kart 5 Stars.
This is far too much summary. I've read the chapter, so I don't need you to rehash it. I want your perspective.
Additionally, this is too short (300-word minimum). And it is one day late.
