Meditation

Meditation

Meditation is a difficult task for me to schedule every day. Although I know it is beneficial it just seems like I am sitting still for a long time achieving nothing. While meditating I try and clear my mind but before I know it I have fallen down a rabbit hole of thoughts and I have to find my way back to focus. After meditating I think I feel better and more mindful but I also think I am just tricking myself into justifying the use of time. I think I would have to try it for more than 3 days to really get a good feel for it but I do believe I could grow to love it. I like the values that mediation represents and I am interested in continuing the practice and learning more about it.

I totally understand I did it for 5 days to try and see. I found it helpful and I definitely have had to trick myself into making time for it.
I plan on continuing the practice myself.

I totally agree Taylor! Meditation can be tough for me because my mind is always thinking about 1,000 different things. However, I have tried it the past couple nights before going to sleep and have found that it helps me feel more calm and allows me to fall asleep quicker since I am making the effort to clear my mind rather than laying in bed thinking about a lot of stuff.
