Doing simple meditation allows my mind and body to calm down and relax after a day full of activity and stress. On nights when I did simple meditation, I was able to fall asleep faster than on nights when I didn't. Typically, my brain feels like it's running a mile a minute thinking about all the things I have coming up and reflecting on what happened days prior. When I meditated, that all was easily pushed to the side and I was able to get to sleep much easier.
