When I have experienced insufficient sleep, I do not handle myself that well. I tend to be less patient with others; I find myself getting perturbed at things that I would normally be gracious about. I also get significantly less done from a productivity standpoint as it’s much more challenging for me to “power through” important tasks. Motivation also takes a dip for me when I don’t sleep enough; it can become much easier to procrastinate. In summation, the biggest differences I have been able to observe when I am sleep deprived have been more on the cognitive/behavioral end than on the physical spectrum.
