For the past couple of nights I have been doing simple meditation right before bed. I have noticed that simple meditation helps me clear my brain and bring peace to my mind after a busy day of doing things. It usually takes me a while to fall asleep once I get in the bed but doing simple meditation before bed definitely lowered my sleep latency.
I completely agree, Kendall. I have had very similar effects from the meditation. I have done it the past three nights, and I have fallen asleep much faster than I usually do. I typically am on my phone right before bed thinking about what my next day will look like, so it takes me a while to fall asleep. After the meditation, it only took me five minutes or so to fall asleep because my mind felt so calm. This could also be because of my lack of sleep from the night before, but I am going to continue to use the mediation technique to help me fall asleep faster.
