Research Presentation Talking Points
Research Presentation: Talking Points + Bibliography
To facilitate a final round of feedback on your research, please post/paste three talking points to the Moodle Research Presentation Bullet Points forum and your final Bibliography. Use the following form:
1. thesis: “I argue that ______, because ______.”
2. antithesis: “an opposing view to my argument is _____ , because ______.”
3. illumination: “During my research I found _______ most illuminating, because ____.”
Simply write-out the above three statements, fill in the above blanks, and paste to post. (Post only three statements)
Here’s a generic example.
1. thesis: “I argue that the soul is immortal, because the soul partakes in the form of Life, which is excluded from participating in the form of Death.”
2. antithesis: “an opposing view to my argument is that the soul is not immortal, because there is no evidence for immortality or the existence of a “soul, and the idea is a product of the human brain.”
3. illumination: “During my research I found the idea of the psyche understood as life-energy most illuminating, because the concept logically excludes death.
Remember, you can also argue for an interpretation of a text, idea, theory, etc.
Finally, paste Bibliography into the post (below your talking points)
I will feedback before papers are due.
