One challenge that I see to existing copyright norms and laws is that there is a lack of knowledge on these laws. Another problem is that people can easily share content and plagiarism. The access that people have makes it easy to get ideas. Taking ideas without giving the creator the credit is plagiarism.

    Well said, Misa.  Not to mention the grey area surrounding "ideas" and "inspiration".  Sometimes it's difficult to develop an original idea without first being inspired by something else.  Many tools exist already to combat plagiarism, but sharing copyrighted content (especially over messages or email) is much harder to regulate.

    I couldn't agree more, its very easy for people to screenshot and copy other people's work in the world today.

    I agree that there is a lack of knowledge on these laws. The only reason I knew about them before this class is because Professor Armstrong brought them to our attention in Web Design. It is a rare topic of conversation.
