I think Tik Tok effectively uses at least 2 if not all 3 principles effectively. Its goal is to have users frequently visit and use the app, and I think its efficiency has sky rocketed during quarantine. It passes time, and it is quite addicting which is effective for the app. It most definitely is effective with satisfaction because users can be happy when making a video or while watching videos. One way Tik Tok could improve is by adding in a fast forward button or rewind without having the users watch the whole video.

    I agree that Tik Tok is very effective at doing whats it was made for. I also think that most social media websites are booming right now because most users are at home wanting to show how bored they are or how their quarantine is more fun that others. I think the aspects that Tik Tok allows u to make videos at home and share them to everyone is very fun and brings hopefully some joy to users in there harsh times

    Tik Tok is extremely effective to capturing the users attention for long periods of time. The videos are short enough that the user determines in a split second if the video is worthy of watching. This allows the user to make those split second decisions over and over again while time passes by.

    What do you think of Quibi, the new (mobile-only!) streaming app? It's definitely trying to take advantage of Tiktok's method with their ten minute-long episodes that you can watch in either portrait or landscape.

    Yes!! A rewind button would be so useful especially for one minute long videos when I just wanna see one part of the video I have to watch the whole thing which can be frustrating. That was okay on Vine because you knew every video would start over again in 7 seconds.
