The HouseParty app is a video chat app used by teenagers, my mother, and her boss. It is a simple, easy to use interface. The app has a lock chat feature, that allows the user to keep people from entering the chat, otherwise anyone can join a chat with their friends. It has games such as trivia and heads up.

    It sounds like your typical video chat app, but it's not.  The game thing sets it apart.

    Kaitlyn! My basketball team uses House Party and we love it! It is very easy to add people into a FaceTime like chat and play games. I love how if my other teammates are still on when I am done with my group I can hop onto theirs! It makes it really nice to be able to play games with my teammates just like we are back in our dorms together!

    I'm amazed Facebook hasn't tried to knock this off, given their new re-focus on social games and video chat!

    I heard Netflix was trying to do something similar to this, I wonder how successful it's going to be in comparison to HouseParty.

    I love the HouseParty app! It was so similar to facetime which made it easy to use.
