So what horror film would you re-make, and how different would you make it...other than being, you know, recent?

What theme's would you change the story to address?

  1. Remake

It’s really hard to pick on this topic because I think of movies that either already have good remakes, movies that are so good you’d be stupid remake, or movies so bad I rather it just not exist instead of remaking. After a long time I thought I’d most like to make a remake of Scary Movie. I like the whole comedy horror concepts and think Scary Movie is something you can watch and enjoy even if you get scared easily. A lot of people have seen it and taking the outline but making it more modern could be interesting. Also with the way humor is changing with newer generations some of the old humor could get lost. I’d just want to make a newer version of it that fits the humor of people today.

  2. Friday the 13th remake
There hasn't been a Friday the 13th film since 2009 and I think it is about time for a remake. I would like to see an atmosphere that I have never seen Jason Voorhees in and that is Jason in the city. Seeing how Jason reacts to being in the city could make for an interesting film.

Let's see a remake scream. I just want a remake of scream so we can see Mathew Lillard in a horror movie again. That's the only reason.

Although it is recent, I would like to remake Fantasy Island. I believe that there is a way to make it darker and focus it on human greed rather than a crazed ex-girlfriend archetype.  I think that morals could be brought into play and more perilous situations for the protagonists.

There is so many great films to decide on but if I had to pick one movie to remake it would "Deep Blue Sea". With innovations in technology constantly flowing you would expect there be high quality camera work and more life like visuals causing you to feel like you are part of the movie. The updated version of the film could bring light to new discoveries that have been found since the movie's release. In the film I would want to mainly feature how far along we've come with unlocking few of the millions of mysteries in the deep blue and how our technical advances could take us further.
