So many good story ideas here. And so many painful! I feel like you could (and should?) start a blog called "My Current Quarantine," and perhaps riff on the idea that each day is its own kind of quarantine. Otherwise, I hope you'll follow these particulars, perhaps in this order:

    - What's up with the soccer teams?
    - BSC's conversations about race and diversity -- how could you focus this? By concentrating on a particular organization or event? A profile of a certain student activist? What are the campus religious orgs doing around race?
    - Moving off campus -- would this be a how-to? What if you structured it like a packing list?

I like the idea of quarantine haircuts, also quarantine hair dyeing. Really just changing hair in general. Also race and diversity on BSC's campus is incredibly important right now.

I think majority of your subjects should be relatively easy to research by speaking with students.

Numbers 4,8, and 10 are the most interesting to me. With number 10, you can incorporate the drawbacks from online learning based on student and professor POVs.

I like the idea of quarantine haircuts also. I also think it would be interesting to see what people did more of during quarantine as well as what people did less of. Some people dyed their hair more, some people ate more, some people exercised more. I believe this would be an interesting story to write.

Zoom anxiety is a real thing and needs to be addressed. What happens when a professor forgets to let you into a zoom call? Why are people still forgetting to mute their mics in October? How early should I join a call? 5 minutes before the start? Right at the start? Casually late? These are important questions and I think teachers and classmates would love to talk about them.

I know Dr. Ott cut her own bangs over the summer. My brother and Dad gave each other buzz cuts over the summer. I didn't get a haircut the entire summer. Seeing as a buzzcut is the easiest haircut to give yourself, there was a drastic increase in those among high school, college aged boys. Does a haircut matter on zoom calls? Will we need hairdressers after 2020?

I lived in a fraternity house the last day students were on campus last year. In hindsight, that was a huge health risk. It seemed like everyone and their Mom was there. At the same time, that's something we'll all carry with us for a long time. It was the saddest party I've ever attended. I think asking peers what that experience was like could make for a great story.

I like the idea of a story about night life post pandemic. We're going to have to adapt and find a way for it to still happen
  7. Re: Story ideas
I would love something about quarantine haircuts, just not sure how that would be structured. Also the fraternity row one! It's insane to me to think how irresponsible we were that last weekend, but we had no idea how bad this would all get. I think it'd be interesting to get other student opinions and see how their thoughts today contrast to then.
