What a thoughtful array of story ideas here. I look forward to seeing which you choose!
Here are my preferences, more or less in order:

    1) Compare 1962 diversity to present-day.
You know I dig this. First up, I'd want to know why you chose 1962. From there, you can go in several different directions, all of them promising.

    2) Enrollment stats.
Timely and great. As our class knows, most of the student body pays no attention to those enrollment stats, but they provide a fascinating snapshot of campus.

    3) Club Quarantine.
What indeed? Is this local? National? Global?

    4) Pandemic habits.
Lord yes. This is sorta broad though. Would you start with particular habits or particular people?

    5) Don't even get me started on the library funding issue. Or actually, do get me started. Ask me about it in class.

I had no idea about Club Quarantine and I don't know how! That is super interesting and I would love to know more!

I think your Club Quarantine story idea is so interesting. Exploring the impact of covid-19 on this community and why it is so important to LGBTQ+ people to find online spaces when they may not be accepted in their homes would be powerful, and I think Club Quarantine is a great way to do that.
  4. Re: 10 Story Ideas
I know their is a humane society building in Homewood. If you reached out to them, they might be willing to talk to you. It may be interesting to see if more people have gotten pets since the quarantine started.

The story idea about BSC enrollment is interesting as well. I'm wondering if BSC has been affected harder than other schools, or if all schools have seen a decrease in enrollment. You might ask someone in admissions what its been like for them. Has it been a struggle? How have they adapted?

You could find several students who went to BLM rallies within just the EH 204 class. I would love to read different student's experiences over the summer.

  5. Re: 10 Story Ideas
Loooove the humane society one. I adopted a cat from BHS over the summer, so if you need a source to interview I'm definitely one. And as everyone else I also think Club Quarantine would be super interesting to learn about. There's also a new independent women "anti-greek" club starting up (I think, I haven't heard updates in a couple week) That might be another unknown org worth exploring!

I hope someone will write about this club. Are they describing themselves as independent? Or "anti-Greek"?

  7. Re: anti-greek club
From what I understand it’s a girls group formed because of the lack of diversity within Greek life on campus. It’s an organization that any woman who wants to join can join, instead of a sorority, but acts in the same way as a sorority would. This is just what I’m assuming from what little I read about it!
