The logo that I am choosing is the chick fil a sign that pictures the 3 cows that are all holing signs. The signs spell out "EAT MOR CHIKIN" is not only a graphic/logo that grabs the viewers attention because it is unusual to see cows holding signs but it is as if the cow is pleading its case to eat chickens instead of cows. It's funny but at the same time has a good meaning behind it.

Target's logo is simplified and straight forward. When most people think about a target, they think about a goal or an accomplishment. The design speaks to its users/customers by it's universal sign and loyalty to its original logo.

Thrasher

Thrasher is a skateboarding magazine that was founded in 1981. However, recently the company's logo has been placed on clothing and is seen as a cool skateboarding outfit(often worn by people who don't skateboard). The logo has the word "Thrasher" with flames around it. I was drawn to this logo by the number of people wearing the clothing with the logo on it. I learned that if you want your product to sell you have to make it popular and even change the medium it's on sometimes.

The Audi logo. It symbolizes four of some of Germany's oldest car manufacturers coming together to form one motor company, Audi. This logo often brings to mind the Olympics logo which represents five continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, America, and Oceania.

Logo Inspiration - Billabong

I chose the Billabong logo because I like the simple, sleek design. It has two sets of waves that if put together, they make one cohesive rectangle. They split a wave line down the middle and pulled the two parts apart, leaving white space in between. Billabong is my favorite surf brand and every time I see the design I know exactly what it is. They also have "old school" designs of the same logo with vibrant colors and less sharp lines. From these logos, I learn that Billabong strives for simple, well put together designs but strive for very high quality at the same time.

"I love NY" logo is so simple but is embedded with background detail. New York offers a variety of opportunities for a multitude of people and cultures. It is a city full of inclusion and opportunities. I plan on spending my summer interning in New York, and I would like to see first hand what is to "love" about it. I am inspired by the success of the city, and  I hope to learn a deeper meaning of why so many people are driven to heart of the city, the only color of the logo. "I love NY" is full of emotion for it offers a night of bright light and constant excitement. It is a culture that focuses on broadening perspectives and creating successful stories.

What drew me to the McDonalds logo was the choice of vibrant colors. The red background with the M outlined in yellow is very capturing to the eye. The McDonalds logo is inspiring to me because the logo is so simple yet it can be attractive and appealing at the same time. What I learned about the brand is that just like the logo, the food is simple and capturing. The logo taught me that it inspires the food that they market hand in hand.

This is logo of Lego. White letter of cute font; and a little bit of yellow go around the letter on the red background. It is simple and easy to catch one's eyes and make people feel happy. It is easy to draw kids' attention and may make them want to have Lego toys when they see the logo. I learnt that this logo can present the product behind it.

Jauz

The logo for the EDM group Jauz is a great example of an artful yet simple and memorable design that clearly and explicitly communicates the band's title and trademark sound. The font, featuring sharp edges and protruding 3D lettering, reflects pulsating bass and incisive rhythms. Its form in the shape of sharp fangs reinforces the dark, underground sound and effectually forces the consumer to process the band's name twice before looking away. The general eccentricity and asymmetrical symmetry further suggest experimentation with sound. In the rendering shown, the band ingeniously includes the striking image of a shark swimming through the lettering, prompting a third subconscious inventory by the consumer. Jauz effectively extends the shark and fangs motif across many of their albums covers, inviting the cult following that eccentric bands rely on for discovery by labels.

The logo that I am inspired by is the Supreme logo. The ability to customize and place it on so many different objects shows that even the simplest design can be a huge success. The logo is heavily based on the work from Barbra Kruger.

Da Buddha

The Da Buddha brand is considered a "Master of One" in the business world. The term refers companies that are built around just on product. In this case the Da Buddha is a desktop heating system. It can be used with essential oils, but herbs are recommended for maximal relaxation. A true miracle tool. What attracted me to Da Buddha, besides its obvious up sides, is the well Designed logo. On the front of the system appears a Buddha sitting happily in meditation. The site provokes comfort and contentment which certainly made it attractive to me.

Vans

The Vans is a skateboarding shoe company founded in Calfornia, they also have clothing. What I really like about this brand is that the logo is so simple but the company has somehow become so popular. What I learned from this logo is that something so simple can result in something greater.

Lucky Goldstar

The Lucky Goldstar Corporation famously referred to as "LG," has a logo that persuades consumers into opening their homes to this company. The logo features the "L and G" designed into a quirky happy face. Not only is the logo unique, but it also corresponds to the company's tagline "life's good." I thought this was a smart move providing a great example of how logos can really boost a brand.

Logo

The White Vault is a podcast that I have been invested in since it first came out.  It is an audio horror podcast that follows the collected records of a repair team sent to Outpost Fristed in Svalbard, Norway (season 1 and 2), and an archaeological team in the Patagonia Mountains in Argentina (season 3).  I love how the simplicity and how bare the logo is plays into how ominous the story of the podcast is.  The logo inspires me to create more simplistic designs than what I used to think logo's should be.  I think I can learn how to convey a story in one logo from this brand, or at least, the feel of the story.

Rogue Fitness - Logo Inspiration

Rogue Fitness is an American made barbell company. The logo is basic in design but there is a sharpness that I believe entails the overwhelming factors of an American made product. I believe we can learn that not every logo (brand) must be extravagant but rather appealing to the target group.

Airbnb

I don’t use Airbnb often. I’ve only used it twice to book a house, but I’ve kept the app on my phone because I like the logo so much.

What draws me to it is the simplicity of it. It’s just one continuous line, but it does a good job of communicating what the company is and what their overall style is. Airbnb’s mission statement is “to live in the world where one day you can feel like you’re home anywhere & not in a home, but truly home, where you belong.” To me, the logo could be a teepee or hut, somewhere for you to stay. It also resembles an upside-down heart, communicating that the company is caring, soft, and promotes community. The color also conveys the company’s message. The shade of red is not too aggressive.

From this logo, I learned that a logo doesn’t have to be bold or provocative to make a statement. A simple logo can communicate a message as effectively as a striking logo.

Logo Inspiration

I think LinkedIn's logo would be a great inspiration for a redesign.  I think the idea of "connectedness" and being "linked" could really be capitalized on, especially for a simple app icon.

Tostitos

Tostitos logo has a great underlying message. It is vibrant and catches the eye of the viewer. Upon looking deeper into the logo, you can see the two lowercase t's represent two people holding a chip and the dot of the I is a bowl of salsa.

Marvel Studio's logo was what I thought of when I first thought of logos. Something that is iconic, brings up many different positive thoughts, meanwhile is basic and simple.

Logo Inspiration

What really drew me to the Nike logo was how simple it was, just a check. Also, the way the design looks on the clothing is very appealing. The thing that inspires me the most was the slogan that goes along with it, "Just do it." I have learned to not procrastinate things, but to just do them.

I have always liked the X box logo because of how simple, yet iconic it is. Everyone knows XBox, even if they don't own one or want to play.

iNAMORATA

I was drawn to this logo by the use of mixed cases. I also really enjoy the font and how it is full of shape, yet still simple and direct and mostly uppercase. I feel like this design choice is meant to reflect an undressed kind of dressing. I already know this clothing brand, and I’ve gathered that this is their style and what sets them a part. I think the logo communicates this dressed down to dress up look with the lowercase i and the uppercase namorata.
