I really enjoy this poster/flyer. I stumbled across it on instagram one day, and although I could not attend the show, this flyer called me to action so much so that I found myself wishing that I had! I love the design here. I think using a mix of italicized and regular with a mix of bolder and thinner font weights is super powerful in drawing the viewer's eye from the top to the bottom. Not to mention the illustration is dope. I love anything symmetrical, yet still abstract and funky. I'm learning how to balance quirky with effective and clean. I love the way they have used rainbow. It's not overwhelming and it doesn't feel like it's a part of the rainbow trend that has already come and gone. It's still quirky but quiet in its communication.

I think the Avengers movie poster is a great inspiration for making a poster of flyers because of its use of mild warm colors to highlight characters and draw attention to their roles throughout the film. I also like the use of smaller vs larger objects which prevents the poster from looking too busy even though there is a lot on it. I'm also drawn to the outer space vibe.

I chose this Smoky Mountains poster as my inspiration. I think this poster is particularly effective because it features the Smoky Mountains symbol, the black bear, prominently and communicates that the destination is a great place to see nature. I do like how the design has a minimal color palette, but it still catches the eye. That’s something that I incorporated into my poster. I think the main takeaway from this poster is to stay on brand and communicate one message you want to the viewer to get.

The flyer I found popped out at me. The dark background allows for almost any color to be readable. The lightbulb graphic draws the viewer in, then the content itself is very readable and is not overbearing. From this flyer, I can learn to keep the points simple and short.

Hangout Fest PosterI always liked the Hangout Fest posters because it cleverly puts more well known artist in a bigger font to draw the audience in.

I like the layering effect of characters in Marvel movie posters like Avengers: Inifinity War or any Star Wars poster.  I think it can inspire my own work because I like to include many elements into my work, so layering them in such a way will allow me to include many elements without cluttering the work.

I liked this poster because of its simplicity. It is a beautiful picture and thats really all you need with a little bit of text. I am a straightforward person so I don't need some elaborate artwork; I like the simple, easy to read flyers. It inspired me to use a good picture with nice bright white text making it easy and straightforward to read.

This flyer inspired me by its simplicity. It has a modern feel while also being very straight to the point; it contrasts colors that complement one another to be pleasing to the eye

I remember looking at this and I thought to myself that this was fun. My goal was to make it similar to this format but make it more modernized and white/gray/black because that's what I think of when I think of cars and car sales.

I really like this graphic because it has a colorful yet warm feel. Th background color is dull and allows for easy reading of the Black font but the color on the poster seems to pop out on the brownish background. It draws your attention to the middle where the font is while also flowing from top to bottom. I think in my design I want to have a basic background color that isn't overwhelming but also have splashes of color that catch your eye and guide you through the design.

This is a poster from one of my favorite screen printing companies in Nashville. Their choices of color and where they placed Kendrick in the poster makes the whole thing revolve around him. There inst a question about who this poster is for.

This flyer inspired me because it of its layout. I think it is effective because the pictures show success of the children. It can inspire my work because the pictures are bordered well and do not blend, that is personally something I am struggling with as I create my own flyer. From this poster, I can learn that color schemes are really important to a viewers eye.

The poster for this basketball camp was a huge inspiration for my design. This flyer is very appealing, but simple. It has all of the important information needed, as well as having cool features. I think I can include some of these ideas into my own work to help me design an appealing, but cool, flyer.

This flyer inspired me not because of the layout but because of the color scheme. The soft purple but using a soft bright yellow is a good use of colors. This poster is effective because the main headlines for the music festival purposefully have bigger fonts. What I can learn from this is adding more visuals instead of listing all the artists. Maybe only putting images of the artist's face and listing the rest of the artists. This can inspire my work to create a teenager/young adult layout for my target audience for my flyer.

For this project, I decided to look at the poster for the new Black Widow movie. I think it is effective because the poster itself has all of the information about the movie but also looks aesthetically pleasing

The poster for Vans' Warped Tour was a big inspiration for my poster design.  I think it's effective because it places the featured artists at the main focal point (dead center) of the poster.  It uses fun sketches and creative fonts, both of which are heavily influenced by the punk-rock scene.  I think I can incorporate some of these concepts into my own work and design a poster that appeals to a certain music following.
