Checking In
I posted on Teams asking how everyone was doing, and I wanted to post something on Moodle as well to ensure everyone sees.
This past month has been scary, even for the best-prepared among us, and the future looks even more uncertain, especially in the near-term. I thought I'd seen it all during 9/11 and the Great Recession, that that would be the extent of social and economic disasters in my lifetime, but here we are in the midst of a global pandemic. "Historic" gets tossed around a lot, and it no doubt is, but it forgets the fact that you first have to make it through history.
With that in mind, I would like to invite every one of you to feel free to email, message or call me, any time, for any reason, even if it doesn't pertain to this class. While my obligation in the scope of this class is to ensure you learn how to be better designers so that you can, in turn, become better developers, managers, business leaders, etc., I would feel as though I've failed if I learned that any of you encountered any issues concerning COVID-19, or the resulting Great Pause that we are currently experiencing.
Don't feel obligated to publicly reply to this posting. Moodle of course doesn't have a simple "announcement" feature, so this is the best I can manage
