For my final project, I plan on creating a magazine company. I will pair a magazine layout with a logo. I want it to be an urban themed magazine based on a popular topic.

I am planning on doing a magazine, maybe just the first couple of pages. I've always loved zines and the idea of creating my own! I will post more info when I have a better idea of what design I want to use for it.

Final Project

Think about waking up on a Saturday morning and enjoying a box of cereal. The joy of the colorful boxes of delicious and nutritious breakfast warms my memories. For my final project, I will be re-designing a box of cereal. I want to incorporate special fonts that make the logo of the cereal fun. I also want the colors to be bright and draw in the younger crowd. Attached are my inspirations for my project and the approach I will be taking.

I want to create a magazine that is for new artists, that is somewhere that they can show off their artwork and be a great platform to grow on. I am going to design the cover and two pages on the inside of the magazine.

For my final project, I plan on creating a mobile app that would be based on swim lessons! Growing up in the south near the water, water safety is very important. I would like to include badges that the kids can earn, instructional videos, a booking page, and more. I hope that this would make water safety easier to understand and would incline parents to sign their kids up! I plan on having 4-5 pages. I would also like to incorporate my personal logo that I created from earlier in the semester!

For my final project, I am creating a website for swim lessons. I want a minimum of 3 pages with a descriptive home page that includes the following: an excel file sign up sheet, safety videos, and a link to Google Maps for parents to easily navigate their way to the pool. I want the bottom of my home page to link to each of my pages so it will be easier to navigate. I am going to bold a good amount of words so parents can quickly see exactly what they need. An example of the bolded words would be prices, time, and schedule. My inspiration for this website is wanting to lean parents off of texting me and allow them to be self sufficient in signing their child up for a lesson. Colors I mainly used were blue and white because it makes me think of pool water,  and they are easy to the eye. The fonts I am using are also simple and easy to the eye.

I was thinking about working on my own business design as I have an interest in developing a client-based organization that focuses on technology innovation. I have been pondering over the idea for quite some time and have solid plans. I think this final project will lay a foundation for a logo and web design.

For my final project I am thinking about revamping the BSC Sports website. As of right now I believe the website is cluttered while trying to do to much. I am a firm believer that less is more in the terms of social media. I want to use the colors charcoal grey and BSC's yellow for the color scheme while highlighting each team and accomplishment boldly. The website should have one tab bar with each sports team where then it will branch off to roster, schedule, pictures, and more.

I have been playing golf for a long time and my friends and I got into an idea a while back. The idea was to make a list based on the golf courses you have played. There are many golf courses around the world and it is probably impossible to play all of them unless you took lots of time out of your life and devoted it to this accomplishment. I think that an application to add friends as well as be able to located courses around you would be very cool. Currently me and my friends do this with a written list but having it kept on an account with everyone being able to see it would be very cool. I also think this would create a cool atmosphere with the golfing community where you could add people you meet and see all of the places they have played and maybe ask what they would recommend so you could go play it for yourself. For this design I think that it would need to be very simple looking because some of the golfing community is older and I would still want their involvement. I also think having a function with all of the courses in a certain search area would be helpful for seeing how far things are away as well as getting directions to the courses. I also think that there should be a ranking system maybe in stars or golf balls to keep it golf related and show the quality of the course. I think having easy to read fonts and simple visual colors and graphics will help with functionality. I think that the app would have 4 main pages and a visual home page when opening the app. The opening screen would be simple and have the name of the app. TBD. Next would be an actual homepage where you can see your own account and maybe some sort of your own list and most recent courses and rounds played. Next would be the map page where courses can be found and reviewed. This would most likely be titled course search or map. Next would be a profile page where you can make changed to your own profile and settings. This would also have the add friends section. Lastly would be a page where you would start your round and input the course you played as well as rating it and leaving comments about how u felt and the conditions were. It would have an easy function to add players if you are playing with friends so not everyone has to be using the app at a time. The add was also have some ads for the potential to make money as the host. Colors would be white, black, and green. The menu bar would most likely be at the bottom with the name and a small image to make it easier to understand.

Final Project

For my final project, I’d like to design a mobile site for the company I made up for the personal logo assignment, Data Solutions. I’ll incorporate both the colors and font used in the logo, which was a muted red, blue, and yellow. I will have 5 mobile pages: a homepage, a contact page, a press release page, a personnel page, and a multimedia page.

For my final project, I want to revisit my UX project and fully flesh out my wireframe into a functional mobile app prototype.  By the end of the project, I want a functional UX prototype that allows for basic navigation and limited UI.  The prototype itself will be around 5 functional screens and use Helvetica or SF (Apple) fonts.  I'm aiming for a light color scheme that uses some purple gradients, blacks, whites, and greys.  This prototype will be somewhat inspired by apps such as Duolingo, Quizlet, Tinder, and Snapchat in addition to my own original designs.

Final Project: Spotify Redesign

For my final project I have redesigned Spotify basically combining the concept of Soundcloud and Spotify, with many new additions and changes. The app will be split between the classic  media player platform and an interactive mode, called either the Curio or Maelstrom (since it's Swedish). Users will be able to have multiple windows open on one screen (i.e. playlist and album at once, etc.). The friend feed feature will be expanded to reach its potential as a social platform with the ability to post to a feed and like and comment on (personally to the other user) others posts. You can send a Queue to another person and you can opt to Sync with another user through a button next to their name on the friend feed (which is called Community and separated into a Live section with just listening activity, and a Feed section with all posts). The Community section will also feature posts of recommendations of "communities" to follow ("Psychedelic Rock" "Dancing music" "Memories of hearing Eye of the Tiger for the first time" "best rap playlists out there") which are exactly the same as subreddits that you can follow with Spotify with user Moderators and posts from different users whose Spotify profiles you can explore or follow if you like their opinions. This already exists on the Spotify website but no one knows about it so it is not taken advantage of. The discover mode will be expanded to its full potential using the Curio, where the Soundcloud-esque unreleased music is housed, tools to mix the sound on released and unreleased tracks (remove audio to use beat etc) and record new beats (I'm not sure if this would work, but my rationale is that Spotify owns rights to the songs, and through this upcoming artists can skip the hassle of getting approval to remix released songs and give royalties, etc.- Spotify would automatically ensure that copyright law is adhered to and the artists of the parts of songs used will automatically receive a royalty if it is legally required - if not, then the remix is taken off Spotify (you can't download these creations without going through a process with artist approval and stuff and Spotify gets a small royalty if your song is released maybe just for a period of time) - this will enable so many more people to learn and experiment with creating music because each one of us has our own unique sound waiting to be expressed inside)). The lyrics feature will be brought back but only for artists who submit the lyrics so you don't have to go through Genius. But Genius will be available as a third party extension, like articles from music review websites in the Curio if you choose to see those results (the Curio will take advantage of third party info as such and is supposed to be the Internet's creative junction for music experimentation). The initial idea behind the Maelstrom/Curio was a more fun guessing game, a more intuitive Made For You section that it is like Discover Weekly that never ends, a radio based on everything you listen (including results you have saved and those you have not) to that uses AI to learn what you like to listen to based on different moods, time of day, weather, etc. to predict what you would want to hear. Saved songs will not have a 10,000 limit anymore, because it will just be seperated internally as multiple 10,000 song playlists that appear as one to the user. But you will also have a playlist called "Everything" that houses everything you've ever put in a playlist. I have been randomly coming up with ideas for this for like years so I keep finding more ideas saved in random places but that is the lengthy gist.

I want to do a personal website with around 7 pages. I want it to look like my personality: outgoing. Colors will include dark grey, black, reds and maybe some blues. It will include a home page, travel page, about me page, blog page, a what I do page, a resume page and a contact me page. I think this will be useful for future endeavors with jobs so I can show off what I do.

My final project is inspired by the podcast The White Vault, which I used as inspiration for my logo redesign project and my travel guide project.  I will be making a logo and a travel guide.
The logo will be for the fictional adventure tourism company Sina-Beni Retreats.  The travel guide will be for the setting of the podcast, Cerro Torre, one of the mountains of southern Patagonia and the Argentinian ice fields.  My final will be satirical.  Sina-Beni Retreats, as shown in the podcast, is kind of shady, so I want to add slogans to the travel guide (which will be designed as though it's by the company) like "An adventure to die for!" and things like that.
I haven't thought of font yet but I do know what my colors are.  They will either be based off of Brazil where Sina-Beni Retreats is located, or they will be based off of Cerro Torre.
I will post images in separate posts.
