Due Monday- our next class meeting. Two to three pages:

Basically, after talking about The Major you selected, you will ask which of the Gen Ed requirements adds most to that major and which seems more peripheral to the major selected. About two pages with direct quotation and close paraphrase. How do we reach a conclusion when doing this kind of thinking.
So, when we talk about majors, we want to look closely at the general definition each one offers in the catalog. Students should also think about how their plans and wishes coincide- or not- with the description in the catalog.
Choose just one element of Gen Ed. that adds and just one that is more peripheral to the major. Explain and explore. What is the relationship you find between Gen Ed. and the major? How do they seem to work together- or are they separate dimensions?
Have fun ; talk among yourselves; explore options. email me the paper by class time Monday
