Write a reflective paper at the end of the internship which relates your particular internship work to your academic work and the Learning Objectives listed within the syllabus.  The paper should address the following learning goals:

  • Connection - Connects relevant experience and academic knowledge: Insightfully synthesizes connections between knowledge gained from the experiential learning opportunity and academic knowledge. 
  • Synthesis of Theory and Knowledge - Applies theories, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Interpretations are insightful and well supported. Clear, detailed examples are provided, as applicable.
  • Personal Growth - Develops a sense of self in relation to potential professional careers- Provides an in-depth analysis of the learning experience’s value to an understanding of self and potential career options. Envisions a future self and justifies personal goals.
  • Civic - Engages in matters of public interest- Examines multiple perspectives in addressing matters of public interest. Discussion reflects nuanced analysis; author voices own perspective in relation to other views.
