Journal #3- sociologists' movie club
In this journal, you will write an analysis paper (minimum 550 words, exclude title page and references) on a movie you have watched. It can be any movie at your interest. You should write about how the stories / characters / plot in the movie illustrate the sociological concepts / perspectives / theories we learned in class. This is NOT a movie review or preview. Thus, do not overdo the retelling of the movie. Although, you can refer to the content in the movie briefly only for the purpose of supporting your argument. Below is a guideline of how you should construct the paper,
1. Title page: Give a title of your paper. Copy and paste a flyer / poster of the movie as a cover. Please cite your sources using ASA style.
2. Introduce the movie of your choice. Give a brief overview of the movie. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE FROM WEBSITE. You retell the movie only for the purpose of writing the analysis in the later section. Use your own words. This section should not exceed 150 words.
3. Main analysis: relate to up to TWO sociological concepts/ perspectives / theories. Explain how the movie illustrate the sociological terms. This section should be at least 400 words long.
4. The paper should have minimum grammatical errors.
